We’re Gnarly Customs, a small shop just outside of Austin, TX that lives and breathes minibikes, go-karts, and everything with a small engine. We started out just wrenching in our garage, chasing that feeling you get when a motor finally fires up after hours of tinkering. Now we’re building a brand that helps others experience that same rush.

Gnarly Customs was started by Johnny and Sky, two builders who couldn’t stop creating. Johnny’s been welding and fabricating for over a decade, and Sky’s background in engineering design and love for old-school rides keeps things creative and precise. Between the two of us, there’s always a new idea on the table (and usually a few projects scattered across the shop).

We’re here for the DIY crowd, the garage builders, and anyone who loves to make something their own. We design and supply aftermarket parts, do custom builds and repairs, and keep motorsports accessible and fun.

Gnarly Customs isn’t just about the bikes, it’s about the lifestyle. We’re working to build a brand that looks as good as it runs, with cool apparel, and gear that represent the scene and the people who make it what it is.

At the end of the day, we just want to build gnarly stuff, support the community, and keep small-engine culture alive and growing.

  • Johnny

    Johnny’s the hands-on half of Gnarly Customs. With over a decade of welding and fabrication experience, he’s the guy who can turn a pile of parts into something that actually runs and runs great. He’s been hooked on small engines since his first minibike build and still gets that same rush every time a motor fires up. When he’s not welding, cutting, or tinkering, he’s probably already thinking about the next project.

  • Sky

    Sky’s the creative brain behind the brand. With degrees in mechanical engineering, CAD design and soon to be manufacturing, plus a lifelong love for classic cars, she’s all about blending function with style. She keeps the builds clean, the designs sharp, and the ideas flowing. Sky’s also passionate about growing the Gnarly Customs brand with cool apparel and gear that capture the spirit of the shop.
